The Veterans Legal Clinic of Harvard Law School provides free representation to eligible low-income Veterans and family members in a number of areas, including: agency and court appeals regarding VA benefits (e.g. service-connected disability compensation, pension, dependency and indemnity compensation, access to VA healthcare, etc.); agency and court appeals regarding Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services benefits (Chapter 115 benefits); discharge upgrade/correction of military records cases; and estate and healthcare planning matters (e.g. wills, guardianships, conservatorships, advanced medical directives, powers of attorney, probate of estates, trusts, etc.). In addition, through Harvard Law School's Veterans Enterprise Initiative, eligible Veterans can receive free legal assistance to start or operate a small business.
